The purpose of the Open Season is to allow all teams an environment to practice for the Ranked Season play. This will give teams more variety on who they play and practice with as well as more variety in player counts. The Open Season will have a ranking system and leader board. Stats collected during the Open Season WILL count towards a team/player’s career total. All while keeping the environment as competitive as possible.

Scoring for the Open Season will be done on a points system as follows:

  • Win = 5 points
  • Loss = 3 points
  • No Shows/Forfeit = 0 points

In the event of a No Show/Forfeit the winning team will receive 5 points.

*Rules violations may result in the loss of points*

Teams will all start at the bottom of the Open Season Ladder.

A team may challenge any team up to 2 ranks above them and may challenge any team ranked up to 3 ranks below them.

When a challenge is accepted, the teams involved have 1 week to schedule and complete the match.

When a team is challenged they may decline up to 2 matches, after that they MUST accept the next challenge.

If a team declines a third challenge it will result in a Loss = -3 points.

The purpose of the Ranked Season is to ensure that our teams get to compete against other teams with similar skill. The Ranked Season will have a more structured setup than the Open Season and every team will play every other team in their Division.

Teams will all be placed based on the Qualifying Tournaments and then ranked according to performance. Once rankings have been established each team will fall into one of the following Divsions:

  • Diamond
  • Gold
  • Silver
  • Bronze

Within each ranking every team will be scheduled in a Round Robin format. each week your team will be scheduled to play 1 other team and they will have 1 week to complete the match, this will continue week-to-week until every team has played each team once.

At the end of each season the Top 2 teams of each division will move up one division and the bottom 2 Teams will move down one division. The 2 bottom teams for the lowest division will be knocked out of their division to make room for the next Qualifying Tournaments (which they can also re-enter for a chance to win their spot back.)

Each new player will start at the bottom of the ladder and will begin in Pigeons Nest . A player is able to challenge any player above them in Gryphon  . If the @Pigeons Nest player wins, they will move up HALF the distance between them and the rank of the person they challenged and is placed in Gryphon . ALL Blue Angels Pilots can challenge ANYONE below them BUT if the Blue Angels loses they swap ranks with the challenged pilot You do NOT lose rank from losing a match unless the person who challenges you is directly below you. Rather, it is possible to be jumped over by others winning challenges, in which case you will move down 1 rung.

Moving from Tiers:

To move tiers you must be top 2 in your tier. You can only challenge the bottom 2 in the tier directly above you. If the lower ranked pilots win they will swap ranks with the challenger. the winner will now move into the higher tier while the loser moves to the lower tier.

1. Trench fighter variant only.

2. First to 5 kills wins. No time limit.

3. ALL 1v1 ladder matches MUST be played on Sinai.

4. Once BOTH pilots are loaded in the map and are ready to go, both pilots are to fly from their base and conduct a merge by flying directly towards their opponent, and then signal to their opponent by using either flares or darts to signal they are ready, then once the fly by is complete the dogfight begins. Once one pilot gets a kill they MUST head back to their spawn until the other pilot is spawned back, in which they will repeat the process till a winner is determined.

5. ALL CRASHES WILL COUNT AS A KILL unless its result of a mid air ram.

6. If BOTH pilots happen to have a mid air collision during a merge or in the middle of a dogfight, then both pilots MUST restart their dogfight and repair themselves fully by flying back to their home base. Once repaired pilots are required to restart the dogfight and MUST merge again and signal that both are ready to go, just as you would with a fresh dogfight. This will just reset the current round.

7. You can not challenge the same pilot twice with in 24 hrs. You can only challenge 1 pilot at a time.

Inactive players will be placed in the Pigeons Nest where they will remain till they decide to return. Upon returning, the inactive player will then have to start as a new player and will be placed at the bottom of Gryphon once they officially challenge a Gryphon pilot while in the waiting room.

Determining an Inactive Player:

How the league determines a player is inactive is by watching active challenges and following up with players who report to a @Moderators that a challenge presented to a player has not been responded and is passed the 24hr mark. At which time a league moderator will reach out via DM on Xbox or Discord. If contact hasn’t been made in a week and no mods were notified of said players absence, then the player will be placed in Pigeons Nest.

Vacation:

It is helpful if a @Moderators is notified if you are going to be away for awhile. Although not necessary, but helpful, a time frame as to when you might be returning will be appreciated. Upon returning please notify moderators of your return to keep the ladder accurate.
